I’m usually racking my brain back and forth about what I
need to do, in order to be successful. And for the life of me, I am always
questioning myself if I am truly living out my calling. In today’s world, there
is constant fear that is instilled in us. It can comes when we graduated
college, get a new job, or earn a promotion. I think in some way, it’s all about
confidence. Confidence is the key to being truly happy, no matter what the
outcome is.
More often than none, you will find two types of individuals
in life and it’s those who challenge you out of spite and those who believe in
you. Those who challenge you out of spite will always try to bring you down.
It’s their way of making themselves feel better and glorified at your expense.
They will repetitively bring you down, and stop at nothing to diminish
you. The key is to not letting them get
the best of you, and remember to never let them see you sweat. Never give them
the satisfaction of making you feel insecure. It simple to read this rather than actually
living it, but with practice, you’ll find clarity in the end.
The other type is those who have confidence in you, so that you can accomplish whatever your goals are.
They’re constantly there pushing you, and encouraging you to become
better at whatever it is you’re trying to succeed in. Now, why are they doing
that? Perhaps at one point you were there for them, and you gave them that
motivation to keep on going. You have to
realize that you, as a human being, have played a huge part in the success of
others. Their strengths are evident because you have shown them love and
admiration through times that were confusing, and discouraging. Hard times will
always reveal true relationships.
It’s those types of people that can look you in the eye and
say, “What’s next?” It is those people who are with you throughout the
obstacles you face. You are not learning something alone by any means. As you
learn your craft together, you come to trust each other and depend on each
other. It is that idea that you’re in
this together. You have to have confidence in what you do though. If something
doesn’t go your way the first, second, third, or tenth time don’t lose hope.
Success will come later. Confidence doesn’t come when you have all the answers.
It comes when you are ready to face all the questions.
If something doesn’t go your way after multiple times, just
remember that it’s okay. You’ll get it the next time. When you see the obstacle
and you’re blocked just say, “Okay… Next?” Don’t ever let an obstacle overpower you and
define you. Otherwise, what’s the point in trying.
